Summer is upon us, and preparations for the Halifax International Busker Festival are well under way! We are looking forward to the festival this year and we invite you to join our team and volunteer for one of the largest and most popular entertainment festivals in Canada. The Busker Festival will be jam packed with amazing performances and memorable experiences down on the Halifax waterfront.
Volunteers are an essential part of the Busker Festival, and your commitment would be greatly appreciated. Whether you are interested in volunteering at an information booth, interacting with the performers, or helping with the many other details of the event, the Busker Festival has something to offer you!

Volunteer Positions
Stage Manager
Duties include the following:
- Oversee activities at designated stage
- Report performance start/completion times and issues to Communication Coordinator
- Listen to walkie-talkie to remain aware of Busker activities, scheduling changes, and site issues (i.e., missing child)
- Liaise with performers
Information Booth
Duties include the following:
- Inform visitors of scheduling and performance sites
- Sell souvenir programs
- Assist with Child Find
- Assist with Lost & Found
Program Sellers
Duties include the following:
- Meet and greet Busker Festival audience
- Sell programs to audience members
Runner
Duties include the following:
- Perform temporary duties for Stage Managers
- Listen to walkie-talkie to remain aware of Busker activities, scheduling changes and issues (i.e. missing child)
- Operate from the Storage Site as a home base
- Other duties as assigned
